Menorca champions CE Mercadal’s chances of promotion could be improved if teams from elsewhere in the Balearic Islands are successful higher up the pyramid.
Although Menorca started the new decade without a team in a national league for the first time since the 1970s, a total of eight clubs have participated in the Tercera Division and beyond in the 21st century.
Menorca’s hopes of representation in Tercera Division in 2020/21 are pinned on CE Mercadal’s upcoming play-off campaign, but at the start of the last decade they had four teams in the division.
