Penya Ciutadella made it two wins from two at the start of the 2021/22 Regional Menorca Preferente season.
In a rare Friday night match, David Segui’s late own goal settled the match between Penya and CE Ferreries.
Jose Enrich’s penalty had put Penya ahead shortly before the hour, before Carlos Febrer’s equaliser.
CE Alaior sit top of the league after they recorded their second straight win, 3-0 away at CCE Sant Lluis.
Despite a dominant performance, they only took the lead early in the second half through Gerard Fuguet and had to wait until the closing stages for Alex Hidalgo and Alberto Torres to wrap up the win.
UD Mahon made light work of their first league game of the season, beating Atletic Ciutadella 4-0.
Alex Janer (10, 59), Diego Gazquez (30) and David Mas (55) scored the goals for one of the promotion favourites.
Atletico Villacarlos, whose opening round game with CE Ferreries was postponed due to COVID, were beaten 1-0 at home by CD Menorca.
Yago scored the winner in the 58th minute, while Villacarlos ended with nine men following two late red cards.
Cup winners CD Migjorn bounced back from their surprise opening day defeat by winning 4-1 win at Sporting Mahon.
Goals from Jona and Kevin put them 2-0 up at half time, and Juan Carlos stretched the lead eight minutes after the restart.
Fabricio rounded off the scoring after Miguel Angel’s consolation for Sporting, who are the only team to have lost two out of two so far.
In Tercera Division, CE Mercadal went down 2-0 to league leaders Mallorca B.
